Alaska- Part 1

There was this really special moment in Alaska where Luke and I were on Sea Kayaks and we heard nothing but the sound of eagles, the gentle lapping of water against the shore, and the pine needles in the light breeze. It was everything I hoped it would be and now as I look back on it, it seems almost perfect. Life as a Wife/Mom/Photographer/Videographer doesn’t leave a lot of space for perfectly still moments. They certainly don’t just happen by accident; it takes some intentionality on our part to schedule them in the everyday-crazy.

So, our neighbors and good friends are celebrating their wedding anniversary!! We are about a year from a big anniversary so I guess we were celebrating too! Haha! It was so much fun to have our good friends to celebrate and enjoy the sights with!

Day 1

Fly, land, and downtown Seattle!

A little boardwalk, some fish + chips, and a ride on the Ferris wheel. Later that night we caught a baseball game at the stadium, and even though I’m not a hug baseball fan it was a lot of fun to watch the Twins play the Mariners. What a fun day! This was the beginning of a week of perfect weather! I think May is a great time of year to travel to Alaska!

Day 2-3

Cold Coffee, best toast and jam ever, getting on the ship, a day at sea! I often googled what to expect from the ship food and onboard experience. Let’s just say it blew me away! I loved it!
Highlights: Go-carts, different restaurants, and walking around the ship, and the food! Oh, I love food!

We booked our excursions through ShoreTrips! **** 5 stars for them!
